Just ever so much...

...congestion.

This will be my last weekend post. I'll be moving to a Tuesday/Thursday slot.

See you next on Tuesday.

Here be Sunday!

Enough with the snow already...

I can't say how many times I've looked at this image since it was taken in May and didn't see the strapping that is holding two twisted branches to a support.

I suppose I could have titled this Helpmeet.

I see a...

Another specimen of Bonsai at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania.

I didn't get a shot of the plaque on this tree, so I can't give you any idea of the age.

It caught my eye because I see a squirrel playing a fiddle in the trunk.

I will survive...

When I saw that thin branch poking out of the side of the trunk, I Will Survive rolled through my head. It was a disco ball moment.

I will survive, it says.

I insist upon it!

And a good Sunday to you all.

Loose-Flower Hornbeam...

I have a bit of a fascination with Bonsai. There was a good representation of it in one of the conservatories at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania.

This is Loose-flower Hornbeam. Its training started in 1990. Japan & Korea/Birch Family

It throws me right into fantasy genre.

And magical places.

With wee beasties.

Tree by committee...

Sometimes, I look at this and see four separate trees. Other times, I look at it and see one tree.

Tree by committee.

Entanglement...

Also taken at Edwards Gardens, Toronto in the spring.

Entanglement.

It makes me think of Christmas lights.

Stumped...

I'm stumped.

Caption it for me.

Taken at Edwards Gardens, Toronto this past spring.

Branching out...

I don't know which attracted me more, the branching or the face at the base.

Click it bigger, baby.

I completely forgot to post the Saturday Daily Tree shot. Fence-staining two days in a row will do that to you. At the end of the day, I was nothing but bruised knees and a pool of sweat.

Wisteria...

Tree or vine?
The answer is both.
When grafted onto a trunk, it is considered a tree.
It sure is pretty.

Trees and Fountains...

This made me smile when I saw it. It's a long line of trees with fountains. Symmetry. Click it bigger. You know you want to.

Living Bonnet...

The Rhubarb Kitchen Garden is on the main street of Skaneateles, New York in the Finger Lakes. I found it charming the way the trees behind seem to be forming a living bonnet covering the roof of the building.

Elevator Tree...

I call it Elevator Tree. You can exit at the ground floor or the penthouse. Your choice.

Taken at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania in May.

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom...

The original image.

This is a slice of the image. I wanted to show just the branches against the wall.

I call it Zoom, Zoom, Zoom.

Conjoined twins.

The Poodle Effect...

Taken on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. You could actually use these as nature's umbrellas.

They made me think of poodles that have been trimmed.

The first daily tree post of June!

Tall Wood...

I think of this as Tall Wood at Longwood. Taken in a conservatory at Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. I could have spent days there.

Framed...

This was taken last week somewhere on the National Mall, Washington, D.C. I love how the wee tree was so beautifully framed.
