I know most of us are tired of snow but I enjoy this tree at my vet's office, no matter what season.

Troll House...
I've been taking clicks of this piece of tree trunk since 2010, when I dubbed it Dwarf Troll House For Rent.
Every year since then finds me at Edwards Gardens (Toronto) clicking away and imagining what troll families might have come and gone.
I've shot it during more than one season, and the perspective changes a little each year.
I still need some winter shots.
This is one of the shots taken during November of 2013.

Exhibit B
I could probably write six months of Daily Tree posts from Hermitage alone. We loved it so much there that we went back the next day. I'd like to see it in Spring.

This is...
This is a stick up.
Heh.
This was taken at Edwards Gardens in Toronto last November. Hence, the lack of colour and foliage, etc.
That tree has a face, arms, and forward motion. Unbelievable.

Enough with the snow already...
I can't say how many times I've looked at this image since it was taken in May and didn't see the strapping that is holding two twisted branches to a support.
I suppose I could have titled this Helpmeet.

Again with the Mulberry
I've posted lots of pics of my mulberry tree. It's a magical tree for me. In my fever induced delirium the other night, I imagined myself tucked into the tree's branches while it healed me. I hope I do the same for it. Protect it and nurture it.
I thought I had photos of it laden with berries. I thought I had photos of it covered in leaves and snow. I spend so much time with that tree outside my office window that I assumed I'd captured it in all of its fashion looks. I will do better this year because this is a tree that deserves to be showcased.
For now, here it is sheltering a baby robin that was hatched in its higher branches. My apologies for the window screen.

Branching out
Technically this is no longer a tree but simply a branch. I really liked how the arrangements was built around it.

Icicles...
Nothing was left untouched by the ice storm just a few days before Christmas.
This is my neighbor's Maple.
Looking up, up, Up.
Icicles.

Faux Trees...
This is my beautiful rosemary bush three days before Christmas.
It looks like a grove of tiny evergreens leaning under the weight of the ice.
Faux Trees!
It's looking much better today.

Wave
This beauty seems to be waving from the end of the path. Over here! Ignore the Evergreen and come to me!
Or maybe that's just my impression.

Contrast to today's weather
Virginia in June. Mmmmm. Lovely. That tree is home to many varieties of songbirds, squirrels and chipmunks.

Ice and Snow...
I look at this and can't get business in the front, party in the back out of my head.
A study in contrasts.

New view
This is my mulberry tree in winter. It looks dormant and bleh. Looks are deceptive. That tree is resting, a vital component in any life cycle. I expect an abundance of fruit will result from that stillness. Yep, life lessons from trees.
