Reflection...
This was cropped from the original, because there was a whole lot of light poking my eye out.
So.
Cropped Reflection.

Pears
This week of glorious Niagara fruit comes to a close with this pear tree. I have a deep and abiding love for pears several trees grew alongside my grandparents' house. One could lean out the window and help themselves to a morning snack. My dad and his brothers often climbed right out the window when they were boys. Sadly, the trees are long gone.
Happily, we found this one. Trust me, those are pears.

Apples
Riding my bicycle home from work the other day, I noticed this beauty. If I'd been smart, I would have picked some of her delicious fruit.Instead,I was entranced by her perch above the train tracks.

Vet's crabapple
I always park under this tree when I go to the vet's office. It rarely provides shade. It always offers comfort.

Hovering...
I like the way this tree is hovering. Every aspect of this shot suggests movement.
It's a good thing.

River Almond
The bark was so smooth on this tree, it was shiny. Oddly, I've seen the plant in the foreground growing in my friend's yard in Virginia. I'm surprised it survives the Scottish winter.

Twisted
This gnarly tree stands guard outside Dunkeld cathedral. There's a row of these trees. They have long pointy thorns and seem fierce yet birds sat on their branches while we ate our lunch beneath them. I have no idea what type of tree it is but I like it. A lot.

Beatrix Potter Garden
That's a larch in the background. I love them. My great-great grandfather is partially responsible for their abundance in that area of Scotland

Barnacle...
It's technically summer, but it was 64 Fahren when I took this shot at Edwards Gardens this week. The sky was autumnal blue, and the air was crisp.
Color or black & white was a toss up. In the end, I left it as is.
Barnacle.
And a good Sunday to you all.

Perspective
A friend sent the following pictures from Muir Woods. Incredible. The first one deliberately has blurry people for a sense of scale.
These trees give me a sense of perspective. I wonder how old they are...
Can you see the owl in this one? Look dead center.
I think I could easily get lost in this last one. I love the sunlight through the trees.

I see a...
Another specimen of Bonsai at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania.
I didn't get a shot of the plaque on this tree, so I can't give you any idea of the age.
It caught my eye because I see a squirrel playing a fiddle in the trunk.
September!
