Twisted

There's a whole grove of these lovely trees on Ocracoke Island in the Outer Banks.  I could stare at them for hours.  Don't you just love the twisty trunks?

Fig Tree

I love the shape and texture of fig leaves. They're so shiny. 

The fruit itself is quite small in comparison. But oh so delicious.

Thanks to Ocracoke, I am a convert to the beauty of fig trees.

This grove of trees was difficult to photograph as so many of them twisted and turned, shaped by the wind that cuts across the small island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
